White on black street name sign of Magpie Lane in Oxford, England. It is a narrow historic lane in central Oxford, its history dating back for hundreds of years. The same street, under a different name (it was known as Gropecunt Lane in medieval times) has been found on maps from 1605.
It was named Magpie Lane after an alehouse in the 17th century.
